Last month we were pleased to welcome our latest addition with the opening of the all new Herb Chambers KIA of Burlington. You may or may not know that Kia is of the same pedigree as Hyundai; both have really come on strong in the last few years with amazing value, design & the industry leading warranty. The KIA Motors tagline is “The Power to Surprise®” and with that in mind, you can bet they’re ready to deliver, and so are WE!

I’m particularly excited by one of their newest models, which is the 2011 KIA Optima slated to be unveiled at the very popular New York Auto Show in April. I can tell you that preliminary photos reveal a very stylish exteri

or and an extended wheelbase, in addition to what the industry calls a “tiger” front end, meaning aggressive. This new beauty is also rumored to have LED accent strip lighting (´a la Audi) above the fog lights with flared wheel arches and front fender vents. There’s also much more as Kia now offers 11 models; (Borrego, Sedona, Sorento, Sportage, Forte, ForteKoup, Optima, Rio, Rio5, Rondo and Soul) each one of them purposely built to please almost any audience as there truly is something for everybody.

Another favorite is the new KIA Soul. The name is very apropos because this little beauty truly has soul! You can tell from the photo to the left that this car is cute, spirited & practical and just right for the “Gen Y” intended audience. With this car, KIA edges a bit into BMW / MINI territory, heavily pitching personalization, offering many accessories and ways to attach your identity to your Soul, with everything from side view mirrors in accenting colors, to seats that glow in the dark. Their goal with the Soul is to stand out in a sea of sameness. Again; I quote “The Power to Surprise“.

For Herb Chambers 2009 Has Been Full Speed Ahead

2009 has been an exciting year of new beginnings at The Herb Chambers Companies. Presently we have no less than seven new facilities under construction or renovation.

As New England’s largest factory authorized new vehicle dealer, our facilities are vital to everything we do, from our state of the art showrooms that showcase the industry’s latest vehicles to supremely comfortable and well equipped customer environments for vehicle shopping, service or parts.

Not unlike the latest vehicles, we want our dealerships to function incredibly well and make a great statement. We believe that customer satisfaction is enhanced by innovation, style, design, great values and plain old excitement. Just like every one of our 28 brands each have their own distinct personality- -our newest facilities will as well and deliver all of these attributes and more when you shop at any one of our 44 showrooms.

Here’s a list of some of our newest facilities & current projects:

BMW of Sudbury/Foreign Motors West BMW	A brand new 70,281 sq. ft. dealership featuring a 12 car two-story showroom, a 4 car exterior display canopy, a three-lane drive-in service reception area with 60 service bays, and a car wash situated on 6 acres. Opening Spring 2009.
Herb Chambers Infiniti of Westborough	A brand new 37,000 sq. ft. dealership featuring a suspense-building “art gallery” style layout to showcase new vehicles—complete with a coffee bar and customer lounge with plasma TVs. Opening Spring 2009.
Porsche of Burlington/Audi Burlington	A brand new 40,000 sq. ft. dealership built to house some the world’s finest luxury sports and performance cars. Opening January 2009.
Herb Chambers Lexus	Recently completed…A brand new 110,000 sq/ft. super luxury showroom! A vast entrance canopy – 40 car showroom with 50-foot windows. Including 50 service bays, a customer lounge with complimentary coffee and food bar, Internet access, flat screen TVs, a fireplace and children’s play area.
Flagship Motorcars/smart center Lynnfield	A brand new 18,000 sq. ft addition to this dealership will include a 2,400 sq. ft. showroom for smart center Lynnfield. Complete Spring 2009.
Chambers Motorcars/smart center Boston	A significant renovation adding over 7,000 sq. ft to this dealership include customer sales, lounge & service areas. Complete next summer.
Herb Chambers Ford Truck Center	An all new 70,000 sq. ft. truck service center & state of the art body shop. Opening December 2008 in Braintree, MA..
Mercedes-Benz of Natick	A Complete 50,000 sq. ft. renovation of the entire Facility starting next spring.
